Marcella Denise Spencer grew up in San Francisco reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books over and over again.  Naturally, she writes historical fiction.  Her favorite eras are ancient Egypt, Cush, and Regency England.

Spencer graduated with a BA in History from the University of California at Los Angeles. She lives in northern California, where she works as a teacher at a private school.

Spencer is an indie author who bases her work on Genesis 10:6, "and the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan."
